Cassandra Boness, Ph.D.
A licensed clinical psychologist, Boness serves as medical co-director of the Alcohol Use and Mental Health ECHO Program, bringing more than 12 years of experience in alcohol use disorder prevention, assessment and treatment. She also serves as an assistant professor at The University of New Mexico in the Department of Psychology.
Matthew Bouchonville, MD, Certified Diabetes Educator
Dr. Bouchonville is a board-certified endocrinologist with 25 years of clinical and academic experience. As Project ECHO's New Mexico Medical Director, he leads our diabetes care efforts, and directs multiple initiatives advancing health equity and chronic disease management.
Jasen Christensen, DO
Since 2010, Christensen has practiced psychiatry, integrated care, and addiction medicine in various settings, including the U.S. Public Health Service. He currently serves as medical co-director of the New Mexico Alcohol Use and Mental Health ECHO Program. He also serves as a professor at The University of New Mexico.
Cara Crawford, MA
With over 15 years of professional experience, Crawford oversees complex global grants for Project ECHO, particularly those advancing the ECHO Model in Asia-Pacific. Previously, Crawford served a grant manager at the U.S. Embassy in Nicaragua and as a fellow in ocean protection for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Mary Darby is a writer and editor with experience in public relations, publishing, consulting and journalism. For more than 25 years, she has worked with nonprofits to craft compelling stories, op-eds, journal articles, website content, case studies and more.
Kim Donoghue, MA, MS
Kim Donoghue has been leading digital strategy and storytelling for nonprofits and universities for 20 years. Combining her masters' degrees in journalism and sustainability, she is passionate about clarifying and improving organizational systems and practices.

Soraya Gollop, Ph.D., is the Director of the Education Team at the ECHO Institute, where she leads statewide and global initiatives that expand educator capacity and strengthen the implementation of evidence-based practices. With more that 25 years experience in education, her work focuses on advancing educational equity.

With more than 15 years of experience in program management and education, Senior Program Manager Jackie Jones leads Project ECHO's literacy initiatives that support elementary educators.
Caroline Kisia, MM, MPH, MS
Caroline Kisia has more than 30 years of leadership experience in the health, humanitarian and development sectors across Africa. Based in Nairobi, Kenya, she leads growth and develop of the ECHO Model throughout Africa.
Hanna Negusie, BA
For more than a decade, Hanna Negusie has paired strategic communications, advocacy and research to drive social change. She has worked in public health, education, and social work sectors across the United States, where she has built and scaled social media functions for nonprofits, institutions and national campaigns.
Che Parker, MA
Che Parker has worked in journalism, strategic communications and public relations for more than 25 years. A graduate of the Johns Hopkins University Writing Program, Che is also the published author of four novels.
Daniel Rowan, BA, Certified Peer Specialist
Daniel Rowan is the senior program manager of the New Mexico Peer Education Project. Rowan was one of the program's first peer educators, during his incarceration. He has led the program since 2020.
Francheska Sevy Gurule, MD
Dr. Francheska Sevy Gurule is an associate professor in The University of New Mexico's Department of Family and Community Medicine, where she has been caring for pregnant people with substance use disorders for a decade. She leads many efforts in the state to expand and improve this care.
